In 2015, the Kings Cross Steelers RFC celebrates it’s 20th Anniversary. Last season the 1st XV was promoted to Essex I, we registered over 100 new players and we ended the season by taking over 80 players to the Union Cup European tournament, where we successfully defended our title of the competition winners.

We are recruiting players of all abilities for the up coming season. We have coaching provision for all levels of rugby player from complete beginners picking up a ball for the first time, to experienced players looking for a challenge and to join a new team.

Come along and spend the day getting to know the club, some of it’s members and discover what being a Steeler is all about.

We will have different groups to either help you pick up a rugby ball for the first time, or put you through your paces and blow off some cobwebs for experienced players.

Location: Meet outside West Ham Tube station

Rough running order of the day:
12-1pm - Get changed, meet the coaches, warm up
1-2pm - Skills and drills (grouped by experience)
2-3pm - Some game activities (no tackling, don’t worry!)
3-5pm - BBQ and drinks with the Steelers
