This vote will decide who among your peers should be celebrated for any reason you see fit, be it on or off the pitch in put into the club or personal development.

AGM Elected Executive Committee Positions

All these positions are up for open election at the upcoming AGM. They are voted for at the AGM by the clubs membership, and nominations have to go out in the AGM notices in advance of AGM.

If you are wishing to run for one if these 5 positions, please send an email to secretary@kxsrfc.com before 8th June.

The Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary are voted on by all paid up Full Playing and Full Non Playing members. Club Captain is voted in by all Full Playing Members and Supporters Secretary by all registered as supporters. They all have one vote on the Executive Committee.

Chairman:
Chairing the Committee Meetings, Overseeing Day to Day running of the club and committee, The Image and reputation of the club, Welfare and Safeguarding of members and visitors to the club.

Secretary:
The recording of minutes of all committee and AGM and EGM meetings, Sending out notices for meetings, Legal aspects of the Club, Liaison with the RFU, overseeing fixtures and relations with the other clubs in the League and Merit Tables, preparations distribution of club correspondence

Treasurer:
Financial aspects of the club, Control of the bank accounts and other methods of payment and receipts, Preparation of accounts for presentation to committee meetings and AGM and EGM, The monitoring of relationships with sponsors

Club Captain:
The welfare of the players, the representative of players on the Executive Committee and in club matters

Supporters Secretary:
The welfare of supporters, the representative of supporters on the Executive Committee and in club matters

Officer Positions

The following are all appointed roles to the committee. These positions are usually filled at the first committee meeting which follows immediately after the AGM or within a week of AGM.

All positions have a reporting line to the Executive Committee, but are expected to attend committee meetings and to actively participate on discussions at committee and if unable to attend to present a report to their reporting Executive Committee Member.

If you wish to be considered for one of these roles, or feel there is another role you can fill not outlined here (the club is always changing and has needs and demands which change) then email chairman@kxsrfc.com AND secretary@kxsrfc.com ahead of AGM, and also speak to the elected committee after AGM to ensure they are aware of your wish to be considered.

Position and responsibilities

Fundraising Officer
To coordinate and organise all fundraising activities of the club. To liaise with club sponsors for use of premises and facilities. Reports to the Treasurer

Membership Officer
To maintain full and complete records of all members, to report to committee members concerns, to source deals to be attached to membership with retailers, to provide membership cards for members. Reports to the Secretary

Commercial Officer
To order, sell and record all sales,to source new lines of club merchandise. Reports to the Chairman

Recruitment Officer
To organise all recruitment for the club, to organise Try Rugby sessions, to visit Graduate Recruitment and Fresher week events to raise profile of club. Reports to the Secretary

Fixtures Secretary
To liaise with Essex RFU League and Merit table organisers, to liaise with fellow club fixtures secretaries to organise games, to liaise with Referee Society to provide Referees for all games, to keep Coach and Captains informed of games. Reports to the Secretary and Chairman

Social Secretary
To organise a full calendar of social events across the year that helps to build a positive team atmosphere throughout the club. Reports to Secretary

Merit Table Rep
To attend all Merit Table meetings, to represent the Steelers voice at these meeting, to keep committee and captains informed of developments. Reports to the Secretary

League Table Rep
To attend all League Table meetings, to represent the Steelers voice at these meeting, to keep committee and captains informed of developments. Reports to the Secretary

Web and Social Media Officer
To maintain the clubs website, to keep it current and informative. To work with Social Media reps to maintain a current and responsive presence in all. Reports to the Chairman

Social media Reps
(this position can have several people assisting this role and reporting to web and social media officer person)

Press Officer
To maintain a profile in the press at all times, to be prepared to act quickly and decisively when needed, to prepare copy for various outlets, to report scores and distribute game reports. Reports to Chairman

ELCSA Rep
To represent the club at ELCSA meetings, to ensure a good deal for our rent at the clubhouse. Reports to the Secretary

Sponsorship Officer
To seek Sponsorship for the club to ensure a good deal for the club and the sponsor to ensure both parties keep to agreement to negotiate sponsorships. Reports to Treasurer

IGR Rep
To represent the club at IGR, to ensure that the Steelers maintain their responsibility as the oldest member Reports to the Chairman

Charities Rep
To represent the club at our nominated Charities and to ensure that a mutually beneficial relationship exists. Reports to the Treasurer
